How to play with Alice ?

Alice works works only with GTAIV version 5 (patch 1.0.0.4 of September 2009) and is nevermore in development for newer versions
You can run Alice with the GTAIV.exe of version 5, the other game files haven't any effect

Download and run Alice-installer to downgrade your game and install the Alice plugin
The uninstaller allows to restore your game back to actually version 7

It installs the asi loader "xlive.dll" which bypasses the online sycronisation
and let the game load and store the save files in %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames

What is Alice ?

Alice is a script plugin to bind external scriptcode into the game execution
Alice supports script files in lua format and and ext format in Delphi script language
the lua script language allows to use Rockstars own gamespecific codes (Natives)
a lua script is simple plain text and editable with normal text editor (notepad.exe)

Car customization in GTA IV
It's called Chop Shop, and it brings some car customization functionality to GTA IV.
You can recolor your car, modify detail, create special finishes, and modify body type.
You can use it to create custom bikes, and it works on helicopters and boats, too.
